Michael Kitces is the Head of Planning Strategy for Buckingham Wealth Partners, a private wealth management and advisor TAMP platform based in St Louis, MO, that oversees approximately $50 billion of client assets. In addition, he is a co-founder of XY Planning Network, AdvicePay, New Planner Recruiting, fpPathfinder, and FA BeanCounters, the former Practitioner Editor of the Financial Advisor Success podcast, and the publisher of the popular financial planning industry blog Nerd’s Eye View through his website Kitces.com, dedicated to advancing knowledge in financial planning. In 2010, Michael was recognized with one of the FPA’s “Heart of Financial Planning” awards for his dedication and work in advancing the profession.
Karen Geiger is a Senior Vice President and Co-General Manager of SS&C Advent, a business unit within SS&C Technologies. In this role she is responsible for delivering SS&C Advent's world-class solutions and services to the global asset management and alternatives markets. Karen has held many leadership roles during her 20 years with the firm. Prior to her current role she was SS&C Advent's Chief Development Officer, where she led the software development team responsible the firm's award-winning accounting, reporting, and order management product suite. Karen holds a B.S. in Operations and Management Information Systems from Santa Clara University.
Steve Leivent is the SVP and Co-General Manager of SS&C Advent’s Advisory business. In this role he is responsible for the business development of Black Diamond, a leading wealth platform and solution set for advisors, as well as SS&C’s Advent Outsourcing Services business which provides cloud delivery of its award-winning portfolio accounting, reporting and order management products. He joined the firm in 2000, and has held various leadership roles during his tenure. Steve holds a B.S. in Economics from Rowan University.
Alison Dooher leads the Digital Advisor Solutions team, which oversees the suite of technology platforms that help the Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) that custody assets with Schwab serve their clients and increase the scale and efficiency of their business. This group is a core component of the Digital Services team responsible for defining and developing strategy, offers and experiences to drive growth and loyalty across all Schwab client groups, reporting to Schwab’s Chief Digital Officer. Since joining the firm in 1999, Dooher has enjoyed a long career with Schwab serving clients across a breadth of roles. Most recently, Dooher has been responsible for leading the teams building industry-leading digital onboarding and account servicing experiences for advisors. This role followed her time as one of the leaders responsible for launching Schwab’s robo-advisor, Schwab Intelligent Portfolios.
Rita Chiu is Vice President, Product Management at SS&C Advent. Rita started at Advent in 2012 as a product manager for Geneva and in 2015 became part of the starting team for Genesis, the firm’s cloud-native portfolio construction and order creation solution. Today Rita leads a team of product managers responsible for the front and middle office solutions at Advent and the Genesis platform. Before Advent, Rita held similar roles at Fidelity Investments and BlackRock. Rita has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.
Kyle Fleming is a Senior Manager of Product Development for SS&C Advent, focused on connecting Advisors and their Clients while driving Advisor efficiency through technology. He achieves this primarily through his work on the SS&C Black Diamond® Wealth Platform. Kyle has worked in the financial technology space for over a decade and specializes in product strategy, early-stage product development, and cross-platform initiatives. Kyle is a CFA® charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Jacksonville, FL.
Ross McGoodwin works tirelessly to share his knowledge of insurance products—how they're built, how they work—with RIAs, helping them find solutions that deliver greater value to their clients. Before joining DPL Financial Partners, Ross distributed insurance products for three years in the RIA channel. He holds his Series 6 and 63, and his Kentucky Life Insurance License.
Ted has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, focusing on information technology, eMarketing, technology enablement, and sales. Prior to joining RightCapital, Ted was the National Director of Sales Technology at Prudential Financial. During his time at Prudential, he helped develop and implement numerous award-winning platforms supporting the sales efforts internally and externally with financial advisors. Ted collaborated with sales professionals to communicate the value of leveraging technology to gain an edge in the marketplace.
Breanna Pollard is a Director with ACA Performance Services, a division of ACA Group, where she manages client relationships and serves as the technical lead and a subject matter expert in the completion of periodic verifications of investment management firms’ adherence to the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS®), and other performance-related service offerings such as focused performance reviews and performance consulting on the SE Marketing Rule and FINRA RN 20-21. Breanna earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Accounting and earned her Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Oregon School of Law.
Karen is president and chief executive officer of the IAA. Before assuming the role of president and CEO in 2014, she served as the IAA’s general counsel for 17 years, with responsibility for the wide range of legal and regulatory matters affecting the investment adviser industry. Prior to joining the IAA, Barr was in private practice at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering (now WilmerHale), where she represented clients in SEC investigations, securities class action litigation, internal corporate investigations, and securities regulatory matters. She received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
Sujeet Indap is the Wall Street Editor at the Financial Times and he has written extensively on the intersection of corporate finance and corporate law. In 2021, he published his first book, The Caesars Palace Coup, detailing the epic private equity/hedge fund war over the Caesars gaming empire. Prior to joining the FT in 2013, he was an investment banker. Sujeet is a graduate of Pomona College and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Sujeet is based in New York City.
For over 18 years, Stephen has been an integral part of product development and quality assurance efforts for SS&C’s Eze technology. Stephen has served in several product management leadership roles. Today, as a senior director of product management, Stephen plays a pivotal role in engaging with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to shape and execute the product roadmap for Eze Eclipse, driving continuous improvement to meet evolving user and market needs. Before his work in product management, Stephen served as director of quality assurance, leading a team of QA analysts and overseeing hardware, software, and network operations for solution testing. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in environmental studies from the College of the Holy Cross.
